Hirschmann Volumetric Measuring Instruments Quality Certificates

According to the Appendix 12 of the German "Eichordnung" the concerned laboratory instruments have to be subject to a verification in order to become conformity certified. This spot check is carried out by taking and testing a defined quantity out of the entire production lot.

Hirschmann class A/AS volumetric measuring instruments are in any case subject to these spot checks and are therefore supplied automatically conformity certified at no additional charges. The sign for the conformity certification is a "H", durably printed on the instrument or respectively a "H" on the smallest package of disposable capillary pipettes. This is fully according to the regulations prescribed by law.

In addition to these legal requirements, all Hirschmann class A/AS volumetric measuring instruments do have a "dated batch identification". I. e. the Hirschmann-internal production batch (first readable letter of the alphabet) and the production year can certainly be determined. Of course this information on the product is also available at no charge.
Batch-related quality certificate
In combination with the carried out conformity spot checks, the dated batch identification provides the possibility to issue a batch-related quality certificate, like it is quite often required for QA measures, related to DIN/ISO 9000, GLP etc.. This certificate shows the determined mean value of the checked production batch, the standard deviation and the volumetric tolerance prescribed by law. All volumetric measuring instruments of one production batch and this quality certificate do have the same batch number. There is one batch certificate for each production batch and this is valid for all items with identical code number and batch identification.
Individual quality certificate
Every single volumetric measuring instrument and the related quality certificate are supplied with an individual serial number. Each of these instruments is subject to an individual check. The actual determined value is mentioned in the certificate and is put opposite to the legal deviation from the nominal volume and so the compliance with this tolerance at the moment of the verification is proved. An individual certificate is necessary for each single instrument, even if several instruments come from the same production batch
